Only God: 16 Weeks Post Op

     Tomorrow will be 16 weeks (4 months) since surgery. It has been a crazy journey and strangely time has gone by rather quickly. The one thing that has gotten me through is God. There is no way I could have done this without Him. My physical therapist is allowing me to jog and jump now! Praise the Lord for sure.
     Today I saw my knee doctor for my 4 month post op appointment.He said my knee is looking good and should hold up as long as I don’t stress it. However, my doctor did say I wasn't allowed to play basketball again. I’m only allowed to shoot around, no high impact or game situations. This was somewhat a surprise, since my last appointment he had told me I could play again. God has a plan for all of this, though days like today I have no clue what or why. I do know that He is in control. God has gotten me this far and He will get me through it all.
     Here is a quick look through the last 4 months!

On a CPM machine, ice machine, and pain meds the day after surgery

Several days after surgery, waiting to see what it looks like

10 days after with no stitches or wires

16 weeks after and I can jog and jump today!

"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:28-31
